This semester the CMR Key Club will be bringing a unique opportunity to CMR students. The Key Club is working with the Governor’s Office to pilot a CMR “Disaster Response Team” which will be composed of about 30 students who are trained in disaster relief and emergency response.

Mike Lathrop, Key Club advisor said, “In the event of a natural disaster, 30 people who are trained to help others may make the difference between our community doing well and not doing well.” In light of the recent devastations in Haiti, it becomes apparent that it is important to prepare for disaster response well before disaster strikes. The training classes will be held on Friday’s during school hours at CMR in March.  The classes are still open for enrollment, so contact Mike Lathrop or Tim Seery if you wish to enroll or if you have any questions.
