Downpour setlist rumors create excitement

Every year, the Downpour Music Festival is one of the most highly anticipated events of the summer. Even though it may be eight months away, the hype is going all around.

Last year’s Downpour event featured Christian rock stars such as The David Crowder Band, The Afters and Disciple. Any fan of Christian rock knows that is a set list that’s going to prove difficult to top.

However, the rumor mill is turning rapidly and with what’s being said so far, Downpour 2012 may be one of the best yet.

Supposedly, the two headliners of this year’s festival are the faith-based rock powerhouses Thousand Foot Krutch and Switchfoot.

Thousand Foot Krutch was formed in Ontario, Canada in 1995, and as of 2010, had released five studio albums and sold over half a million copies. A sixth studio album entitled “The End Is Where We Begin” is set for release in March of 2012.

Switchfoot, originally of San Diego, CA, burst on to the Christian rock scene in 2002 when some of their songs were featured on the Hollywood film, “A Walk To Remember”. The following album, The Beautiful Letdown, was a huge success and featured popular songs such as “Dare You To Move” and “Meant To Live”.
