Sally Green is the author of Half Bad, Half Wild, and Half Lost. The genre of these books is Young Adult (fantasy) and they are some of her best-selling novels.
The Half Bad Trilogy by Sally Green is set in modern-day Europe, where witches and humans (fains) live together. There are two primary types of witches: Black (oppressed and written off as evil) and White (the main population). This story revolves around Nathan (the protagonist) who gets older as one reads the series, and his troubles battling the White witches (the antagonists) along with the people who have decided to join his alliance to overthrow the Whites so the Blacks and Whites can live in harmony once more.
Of course, the characters in this book are fictional,. nonetheless, these books are well-written and engaging in every sentence.
When I first picked up this book, I didn’t expect to end up liking it. I just picked the first thing I saw off of the library shelf for my English class. As I started reading the book, I realized it wasn’t half bad [;)], and I actually ended up enjoying the twisting plot and constant troubles that Nathan was facing.
I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking for something different or anyone who is into semi-realistic fantasy books.
