Tiffany Lefebre – Softball

Softball is more than just a game of seven innings for sophomore Tiffany Lefebre. It is about coming together and being more than just teammates.

“I like team unity and all the girls; we have a lot of fun together,” Lefebre said. To her softball means a bunch of athletes coming together and doing something they all love.

Softball comes with a lot of memories for Lefebre. Her father was into baseball and softball and wanted her to play. She has been playing since age five, starting out on a Little League team and playing competitively at age 10.

“My favorite memory in softball is last year at the Jamboree when Madi Mahoney ran into first base and face planted,” Lefebre said. As far as having a least favorite memory, she said she has none.

This year as a part of the Lady Rustlers softball team Lefebre will be playing catcher on junior varsity. Along with catcher, Lefebre plays first base once in a while.

“I like catching because as a catcher you get to direct the field more,” Lefebre said.

Her goals for the 2012 season are to improve her hitting and become quicker and better with base running.

“I feel we have a good team,” Lefebre said. “We are going to have a great year and it should be fun.”
