With the new dimension in need of help, the two brothers must jump up and face the challenge. The film features many iconic celebrities such as Chris Pratt as Mario. Pratt has appeared in shows such as “Parks and Recreation” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Bowser is portrayed by Jack Black, who has appeared in movies such as “Kung FU Panda” and recently the “Minecraft Movie.” Other notable actors include Seth Rogan, Anya Taylor Joy, and Charlie Day. With a cast like this holding up the backbone of the film, it creates a fun and adventurous film that hasn’t been seen in an animated movie for quite some time.

The movie was overall considered a Box office success as it reigned in more than $1.3 billion worldwide, making it the second highest grossing animated film of all time, only coming second to “Frozen 2.” I personally give the movie a 9/10, as the only thing the movie is lacking in was a stronger plot to hold it together. Besides that, the “Super Mario Bros. movie” is an action filled, family movie that can bring us all closer due to the iconic elements and possible memories.
