The Drama Department of C. M. Russell High School has started production of their next show, a classic called “Our Town.”

This show was first performed in 1938, and it was written by Thornton Wilder. It’s a 3-act show that is about an hour and a half long, the acts being called Daily Life, Love and Marriage, and Death and Eternity.

“Our Town” follows the life of people in the small New Hampshire town of Grover’s Corners. The role of Stage Manager is played by senior Sammy Lynch; Emily Webb is played by senior Jaclyn Kleinsasser; and George Gibbs is played by freshman Leighton Larsen. Drama Department leader Chris Evans is directing the show.

The goal of this play is to show the fragility and complexity of life, as well as to make the audience have a newfound appreciation for their own lives. “Our Town” hits the stage March 30-April 1.
