Fourteen years of hard work and dedication to CMR has finally paid off for teacher Mike Lins. Lins was named teacher of the month for April at the faculty meeting April 17. This is his first time receiving the award.
“I was not expecting to get it, but I thought it was nice especially because the students vote on it,” Lins said.
Teaching at-risk students has been his passion during his time at CMR. Lins has been working with the transition program for all 14 years and explains the rewarding feeling of seeing his students do well.
“(The best part) is seeing kids graduate and succeed, knowing I might have had a part in it,” Lins said.
Lins was awarded with an evening out complimentary of the Key Club and a certificate to add to his records.
