Great Falls will be bustling with activities this summer in a simple and entertaining way.

All kinds of occurrences, from recreational camps to baseball games, will be taking place. CMR freshman Geneva Asenjo is excited in particular about the annual Thomas Carnival, which will appear in Great Falls from July 27 to August 4.

“The carnival always offers a great experience for my friends and I, and it’s something to look forward to every summer break. It only comes around once a year, so I like to enjoy it as much as I can while it’s here,” Asenjo said.

She loves all of the activities included in the carnival, such as the rides, small concerts, and streets lined with food trucks and shopping booths.

“The rides are awesome and the concerts [are] enjoyable,” she said. “It’s especially fun if the music being performed is upbeat.”

Asenjo also discussed the Great Falls Voyagers baseball games that take place each summer.

“Going to a baseball game and having good food from the concession stands [is a] great way to spend a summer evening,” she said.

She likes going to the July 4 game if possible because of the spectacular firework show that is displayed at the ending.

“The fireworks are amazing and add a lot to the baseball game. They make the experience even more fun,” Asenjo said.

Great Falls may be a small town, but it offers plenty of pleasurable activities to its citizens in the summertime. Teenagers at C. M. Russell High School have a lot to look forward to these next few months, and a lot of planning to do for their summer agendas.
