CMR Orchestra connects with community through music

Christmas music, Hanukkah folk songs, and two Argentine tangos were featured as entertainment for the Great Falls Lions Club during their lunch meeting Tuesday. The club was a destination of the CMR Orchestra, which goes out into the community on occasion to share their talents.

“It helps with our connection with the community,” orchestra teacher Steve Olson said.

The South Pacific musical, various concerts, and fruit sales are just some of the events which kept the music department busy during the first semester. The AA Orchestra Festival starts this February, and Olson encourages the community to come to the concerts.
“CMR is hosting AA this year,” he said. “The concerts on February 3 and February 4 are open to the public.”
