See the truth about Mondays
Monday morning. It’s supposed to be a time where everyone is craving their beds, whining about being at school, and overall just living in a daze.
Right?
But where’s the fun in that? Wouldn’t it make more sense to open our eyes, jump out of bed, and imagine all the fun we can have on the best day of the week?
Don’t argue about the best day thing- just accept it.
Now think. Monday morning. The first time in two whole days that you get to go back to school. Don’t call me a geek, but that sounds pretty exciting to me. Maybe with a few words I could pull you to the bright side of things as well.
School means classes. Classes mean homework. But that’s just the simple way of looking at it. When you go more in depth, well, there’s more depth.
School means seeing all your friends. Friends mean laughing and talking and planning outrageous activities that may or may not happen, but still are fun to imagine. Sure, you may hang with your friends outside of school, but think about all the other people you see every day that you don’t hang with.
People are amazing, and there’s always something new that you can learn from the kids that you sit next to in English. I never thought I’d learn about brains, popsicle sticks, and string all in one sitting, but that’s what my English neighbor told me about today.
There is so much to learn, so much to see, so much to hear! Take a chance: next Monday morning, don’t grumble as you roll out of bed. Open your eyes and ride on the Kim-garoo for a day.
