Regional Science Bowl comes to an end

This past weekend, the Regional Science Bowl took place in Billings and our students did amazing.  They were undefeated in the Round Robin Competition and beat Plentywood, Custer County, Helena High, but lost to Billings West.  They joined the losers bracket and beat Billings Skyview but was defeated by West a second time in the champion round.  They won second place in the end.

There was a total of 21 teams at the Science Bowl.  AA, A, B, and C schools were all represented at the competition.

Many teachers and volunteers were there to help the competitors.  Karen Spencer, a former CMR science teacher, helped to coach the team and helped at the practices.   Alex Davidson was a great supporter for the team.

The North Middle School Science Bowl was the day before and we were able to support the middle school as they eventually won the Regional Science Bowl.  This was Mary Somerfeld’s fourth year winning the regional.
