Junior Lindsay Martinez swept through this season in a breeze, and the divisional tournament this past Thursday and Friday were no different. She played a total of four games, each of which she won. She has just one week to prepare for state this weekend.

“There’s a lot of great players from Bozeman and Billings,” she said.

Capping off an undefeated season with a top seed from her division, she is hoping to finish state with the success this season has brought.

“It’s kind of like the NCAA tournament. There’s four divisions and a one, two, three, and four seed from each division,” she said.

With another year of high school ahead of her, the pressure isn’t necessarily high, but winning state this year would be a great reward for all her hard work. The CMR tennis team will travel to Bozeman for the state meet May 22-23 with high hopes of taking hope a state championship.
