Olsen proves dynamism is important in athletics
Football, volleyball, baseball, rugby, LARP and track. These are just a few of the sports James Olson has played.
Known as the man of many sports, Olson knows his way around just about any court or field.
Even though an injury kept him off the gridiron for most of the season, he said, “Football is definitely my favorite.”
Olson is currently undergoing physical therapy in the hopes of being back in the saddle for the upcoming basketball season.
“I love basketball, and I hope it’s something I can do for the rest of my life,” he said.
As for his least favorite sport, Olson replies without hesitation — track. Olson has done hurdles in the past, but the high school junior is still undecided if another season of track is in his future.
“If I had to recommend one sport, it would be rugby,” Olson said. “It’s something that not a lot of people have done, [and] it’s important to step out of your comfort zone and try new things.”
