It’s that time of year again; the gym fills with music, while freshmen and sophomores parade around the gym learning to dance. Many health and PE teachers struggle to help new students learn dances such as the cupid shuffle, the two step, zumba, and some cardio dances. Trying to teach students dances that they will hopefully remember if they appear later in life.
PE teacher Lindsey Graham tries to teach students how fun dancing can be if they put effort into it.
“I teach a lot of dance classes, and it gets exhausting especially when kids don’t’ participate,” Graham said. “You just try to be positive and show them how fun it is to dance.”
