If she had any free time, Junior KayDee Parsons wouldn’t know what to do with it.
“I’m a competitive person,” she said. “I like having a sport all year around.”
Parsons started being involved in sports at a young age. She plays softball, basketball, and most currently, volleyball.
According to Parsons, she decided to start playing in 8th grade because her friends played, she continues playing for that reason as well, she said.
“We all have similar interests. We all get along great, and we all like to hang out outside of volleyball,” Parsons said.
Parsons and her teammates had a rough year last year, but according to her it only makes them want to try harder.
“When we lose, it’s a close match against good teams. It only makes us stronger and more prepared for the rest of the season,” she said.
Even though last year was discouraging to Parsons, she said that the support from the school at games makes both her and her colleagues strive to improve.
“We really appreciate it.”
