The Story of his Truck

Joey Hersey is a sophomore who loves his truck.  He originally got it for free about 4 years ago, because it was immensely broken down.

He spent a year rebuilding his 1983 Ford F150 4 wheel drive short box.  He rebuilt many of the parts from scratch in order to repair the truck.  He ended up spending more than $16,000 for many of the parts and the upgrades.  At the moment he can get his truck to reach 140 mph, and most of the time he drives his truck to school.

However, at the moment he is busy hyping up the engine.

“My paint job on the truck is a father-son paint scheme,” Hersey said. His truck is almost the same as his father’s because they have the same paint scheme and “just about the same truck,” he said.
