Stampede urges students and staff to take time to recharge and relax

It goes without saying that this year has been one of the strangest in history. We have lived through a pandemic, remote learning, masks, social distancing, and a variety of other struggles. It has been difficult. We are all exhausted and ready for a break, and you probably are, too.

Take the opportunity this summer to recharge and relax. Explore, even if it’s in your own backyard. Spend time with the people you love. Invest in a hobby and prepare for the upcoming fall semester. You made it. You survived high school during a global pandemic.

The best part is, things seem to be looking up. We published our first print newspaper of the year, and things are going back to normal as more and more people get vaccinated. Students chose board games as the Homecoming theme for fall 2021, and CMR will most likely host a prom in the spring of 2022.

There is less contact tracing, and students will no longer be learning remotely. Rustler Nation is returning to normal, and we can’t wait to be there covering everything you do. We’re ready when you are.
